Mobile Encryption on the Frontline of Cyber Crime Prevention

A topical discussion using real-world examples regarding the importance of hardware based encryption for data storage devices including hard drives and solid state drives in both office and mobile computing devices.  Reasons why encryption is used to protect security audit reports – especially out in the field doing onsite audits, along with a discussion on several strategies used including leaving the hard drives with the clients and limiting accessibility when conducting forensic investigations will also be covered.

Finally there will be a short discussion on how hackers approach breaking passwords and encryption algorithms using real-world scenarios from different environments in the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Estonia and Poland.  During the discussion some of the portable cracking tools that Aurenav uses, including a militarized verison, will be shown.
